Comprehensive Examinations

Yearly Comprehensive Eye Examination are very important to maintain your health, both in your eyes and systemically. Our comprehensive eye exam not only includes an evaluation of visual demands, but also a complete eye health evaluation to prevent silent eye disease from disrupting your lifestyle in the future. Of course, it tests for cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and many other possible eye problems. Schedule an exam today!

Child Examinations

Children need comprehensive examinations too! The American Optometric Association recommends an eye exam at 6 months old, 3 years old, and 5 years old to ensure proper development of the visual system. Our pediatric examinations are thorough and contain many tests that your pediatrician does not perform during normal medical exams. Common childhood eye conditions such as amblyopia ('lazy eye') can often be cured before age 6-7 if caught early. When children have eye related medical conditions, they may not be able to describe to you what is wrong because they have never known what it is like to have normal vision.

Vision Therapy

Vision therapy is used to improve visual skills such as eye movement control and coordination. There are two types of vision therapy: First, Visual Efficiency, can help with double vision, eye teaming, and/or eye strain. Second, Visual Information Processing, which can help a child overcome a visual learning disability. Visual learning disabilities are often undiagnosed or misdiagnosed as ADD- so it is important to report to your optometrist if your child is struggling in school. During your child's comprehensive eye examination we will discuss doing a vision therapy evaluation if appropriate.

Contact Lens Examinations

We fit a variety of state of the art contact lens. We make available to you: soft multi-focal contacts, daily contacts, color contacts, rigid gas permeable, and soft toric lenses.

We fit a variety of lens types, including lenses for patients with kerataconus, difficult-to-fit patients and patients with complex prescriptions. Please ask if you are unsure whether you are a candidate for contact lenses. Contact lens services and materials are not included as part of the comprehensive examination.

Lasik Co-Management

Evaluation of Lasik candidacy. We co-manage with the founder of NVISION Lasik, Dr. Tooma. We can provide you with both pre and post operative care.

Ocular Disease Treatment

Our exams include detection, diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of eye disorders, including cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and dry eyes. We have the latest in eyecare technology to help monitor and treat eye disease.
