iTrace TechnologySun City Vision has the unique capability of providing our patients with WaveTouchâ„¢ Individualized Wavefront Guided Contact Lenses. Unlike contact lens prescriptions of the past, WaveTouch lenses are manufactured using information from Wavefront aberrometry readings taken with our iTrace technology.
These readings measure corrective needs in the eye that traditional optical testing also measure, such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism. Collectively, these conditions are referred to as Lower Order Aberrations and can be corrected with traditional contact lenses. However, Wavefront aberrometry also measures other conditions known as Higher Order Aberrations, which can only be corrected with Wavetouch contact lenses. When uncorrected, these higher order aberrations cause symptoms such as blurring, glare, flare and halos around lights, and poorer vision at night or in low light conditions. WaveTouch lenses are an optimal solution for many patients, especially those with a history of PRK, RK or keratoconus since they are made to individualized prescriptive needs. Unlike other lenses that come off the shelf, WaveTouch lenses are fabricated specifically for each patient based your doctor's orders.
